Tae Kwon Do Classes
Annabel Murcotts Schools of Tae Kwon Do is one of the largest martial art schools in the Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire area.
Tae Kwon Do classes are open to all ages, abilities and fitness levels, you work at your own speed but within a guided syllabus to help you achieve your own goals. Beginners join in with mixed classes and learn from fully qualified instructors.
Tae Kwon Do classes are held six nights a week, which means students have the flexibilty of choosing which night they train or those keen to keep up thier fitness or prepare for competition and squad training can train up to six nights a week.

There are many aspects to learning Tae Kwon Do including, fitness, staminar, patterns for building co-ordination and strength, sparring for speed and agility and Korean terminology and philosophy. Annabel Mucotts Schools of Tae Kwon Do have over 350 students currently training. We have members that start as young as five years old with our youngest black belt being 8 years of age. Our oldest training student is 63 years old and one the T.A.G.B members gained his fifth dan black belt on his 70th birthday! This prooves that your Tae Kwon Do training can start at any age! We have over 80 black belts with a wealth of knowledge and experience. You can train along side a fun, freindly group who form part of the wider Tae Kwon Do community. Coloured Belts
Colour belts grading system starts with white belt through to red belt. There are 3 to 6 months of training between each belt grading and your instructor will let you know if they think you are ready to grade for your next belt.
Coloured belts train along side all other grades, passing on knowledge to those moving through the grading system and obtaining advice, knowledge and tips from black belts and Dan grades as you move towards your black belt. Tae Kwon Do coloured belts can expect to learn and participate in:

Black Belts
We say that black belt is the beginning of your Tae Kwon Do training, here you start to really learn what Tae Kwon Do is all about!

Assistant Instructors & InstructorsAlong the way, students who express an interest in teaching an entire class either children, adults or mixed classes, have the opportunity to develop their teaching skills along side experienced instructors.
When you reach black belt you can complete two courses, one as an assistant instructor and one as a fully qualified instructor. Teaching Tae Kwon Do is a way of sharing and giving back some of your knowledge and experience you have gained over the years. Available Courses:

CompetitionsInter-club, national and regional Tae Kwon Do competitions are held through out the year.
Inter-club Competitions Students start with inter club competitions, these are run by your local club where students have the opputunity to practice thier patterns and sparring in a real competition atmosphere but with out the high pressure. Regional & National Competitions All students are welcome to compete in regional and national competitions, you have the support and encouragement from your club members and is usually and exciting rewarding atmosphere. These competitions are for those who want to develop thier patterns and sparring or if your grading is a great way of getting rid of excess nerves and building your confidence! |

Self defence classes are held throughout the year for Juniors, black belts and instructors. Seminars Don't be put off by the title! These are action packed stamina self defence or sparring skills seminars taken by amazing instructors, Grand Masters and world champions such as Warren Vice, Master David Oliver, Master Ron Sergiew, Grand Master C.K. Choi. Book early because polaces go fast... these are unique opportunities to train with multi- world champions. |
For SchoolsKickStart - Primary Schools
We run a 'Kickstart' programme in schools which is an early morning class once a week just before school. This is aimed at waking the children up and getting them in the mood for the days challenges ahead! The Kickstart programme allows children to have fun with Martial Arts without taking gradings and going through belt system. The Kickstart programme has proved a massive success, with teachers expressing the children are happier, refreshed and in a better place to learn for the day ahead. Secondary Schools, Academies & Colleges Annabel Murcotts Schools of Tae Kwon Do teaches self-defence in secondary schools, academies and colleges during the day. Lessons are tailored to suit individual school requirements. Some secondary schools, academies and colleges opt for self defence, basic skills and general awareness , while others prefer a martial arts class with structure. Please contact us for more information. Schools We are are always looking to introduce more fitness and exercise to juniors as well as teaching basic self-defence in a structured safe environment. We can offer a FREE one off lesson to each of the years in your school. This lesson can be tailored to suit your requirements. Either self-defence, teaching awareness and basic skills, stranger danger or a martial arts class with structure, discipline and showing them some basic kicking and punching techniques - only to be used in class.
